One of our parking customers experienced an issue with the first ticket of the morning. Due to high humidity and the temperature changes between night and day in a harsh coastal climate, the paper would stick between the print roller and the thermal print head, causing the first ticket to be printed incorrectly and sometimes leading to a paper jam. Our engineering team resolved the problem by creating an external holding position for the paper outside the printer, ensuring smooth operation. Since then, all tickets have been printed consistently and without errors.

Another customer near the ocean faced salt corrosion on internal components. Our solution? A protective coating that saved the electronics and extended printer life—even in salty, humid air.

•  Partial Cut: Leaves a small tab so the ticket doesn’t fall or fly away, while staying easy to tear off.
•  “Zero Force” Presenter: Fully cuts the ticket and holds it in place until the customer removes it—without bulky external hardware.

Our tickets are precisely cut thanks to two types of sensors. The black mark sensor detects the black markings on the paper at various positions, while the through-beam sensor detects the gaps between tickets. An automatic sensor calibration ensures that even after years of use or when the black mark quality is poor, the sensors reliably detect the marks and maintain optimal cutting accuracy over time.

Security Features: Keep Your Kiosk Secure

Unattended kiosks are prone to tampering. One of Hengstler cutters includes smart protective feature called shutdown: This programmable feature shuts down the cutter to prevent the insert of the foreign object and saves the kiosk from internal damage.
