Hörmann Acquires ST&D
Hörmann Nederland B.V. Acquires Shares of ST&D Apeldoorn B.V.
ST&D Apeldoorn B.V. announced that it has sold its shares to Hörmann Nederland B.V., a well-known and reliable partner in the field of (garage) doors and a manufacturer of Pilomat pillars, among other products.
For several years now, Hörmann has had a new product group: access control systems, such as barriers, bollards, and parking systems. They lacked the right network; establishing such a network organically would have been time-consuming.
ST&D, on the other hand, has been active for over 29 years and has a strong position in the Benelux and internationally. The company is an established name with a strong reputation in the field of dynamic fencing and entrance management for the leisure industry. With approximately 30 employees, they focus on high quality in both product and service. From left to right: Christoph Hörmann, Menno Luyten, Peter Stoop, and Ben Siebes
With this acquisition, Hörmann is further expanding its portfolio and technical expertise; it is creating a robust Access Control Systems division, allowing it to leverage ST&D's expertise to play an even broader role with its existing customer base. Both companies will continue to operate independently, retaining their own identities, cultures, and customer relationships.
"ST&D Apeldoorn BV is an established name with a strong reputation in dynamic fencing and entrance management for the leisure industry. Their approach aligns perfectly with ours. I have great confidence in them and am looking forward to this opportunity," says Peter Stoop, Managing Director of Hörmann Nederland B.V.
Ben Siebes, Commercial Director of ST&D Apeldoorn B.V. Ben emphasizes Stoop's enthusiasm: "We are delighted to have found an acquisition candidate like Hörmann, with whom we have complete confidence in the mutual synergy benefits while retaining our own culture. We can only strengthen each other and look forward to this new phase," says Ben.
ST&D will initially continue to operate as an independent company, owned by Hörmann Netherlands. In the coming years, the companies will merge in a phased and intelligent manner, without compromising ST&D's unique identity and enormous impact, customization, and flexibility.
