HUB Parking Technology Launches New Multi-Purpose Parking Kiosk to Expand Self-Service Touchpoints Globally

- Bologna, Italy
The Kiosk Has Been Developed to Support a Wide Range of Parking and Non-Parking Interactions.

HUB Parking Technology today announced the global launch of its new multi-purpose parking kiosk, a self-service solution designed to extend the role of traditional payment machines into flexible, service-oriented touchpoints for indoor environments.

The kiosk has been developed to support a wide range of parking and non-parking interactions, including ticket and ticketless payments, non-parking product purchases, subscription renewals, voucher validation, and targeted digital content. Designed for deployment in locations such as airports, hotels, shopping centers and mixed-use facilities, it combines a compact footprint with a configurable user interface and integration-ready architecture. The software is fully designed in‑house and built to scale through integrations with third‑party systems, such as guide visitors, indoor navigation, ground transportation, and ticketing for cinema or theatre.

“With this kiosk, we focused on adaptability and ease of interaction,” said Mattia Piunti, Digital Technologies - Head of Product Portfolio at FAAC Technologies. “Operators can tailor the interface, branding and on-screen content to their environment, while end users benefit from a familiar self-service experience that reduces friction at the point of use. The result is a device that can be configured around local operational needs without increasing complexity for the customer.”

Available as a floor-standing or countertop unit, the kiosk features a 21.5-inch commercial-grade touchscreen, supports PCI-compliant electronic payments and integrates with HUB’s Jupiter platform and existing payment gateways. Beyond payments, it can be used to promote parking information, advertise services, and enable cross-selling of both parking-related and adjacent offerings, helping operators make broader use of a single device throughout the day.

Traditional pay on foot terminals work only 1-5% of the day, wasting energy for the rest. HUB’s multi-purpose kiosk boosts screen use to nearly 90% through built‑in advertising and cross-selling, with no extra energy.

According to Giovanni D’Abramo, Managing Director at FAAC Technologies, the kiosk is intended to serve a broad spectrum of customers and use cases. “This solution is designed for operators managing complex, high-traffic environments as well as those looking to add cost-effective self-service points within indoor locations,” he said. “It supports airports and transport hubs, hospitality and retail venues, and entertainment facilities that require flexible service points capable of evolving over time.”

The kiosk is built on a software-driven architecture that supports third-party integrations and future feature expansion, allowing it to align with changing operational models and customer expectations. Centralized content management and usage analytics provide operators with visibility into customer flows and device utilization, supporting data-informed service optimization.
