Perched between the Ligurian Sea and the surrounding hills, Imperia is a city where mobility infrastructure must adapt to challenging topography and seasonal tourism peaks. The redevelopment of Porto Maurizio marina has generated a growing flow of residents, visitors, and boaters. To address this, Gestopark partnered with HUB Italia to modernize and centralize the city's parking network, creating a fully integrated parking ecosystem.
Previously managed through fragmented systems and different suppliers, Imperia’s parking network now benefits from centralized control, real-time monitoring, and streamlined operations through a single interface. The solution enables operators to manage access flows, monitor occupancy, and supervise all facilities remotely and efficiently.
To improve the user experience, the system integrates multiple access and payment methods, including tickets, Telepass toll system, QR codes, and License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology for seamless entry and exit. Drivers can also rely on a network of AGLA signs connected to JMS, displaying real-time parking availability across the city and helping reduce congestion and search times.
A project that demonstrates how modern, integrated parking technologies support urban mobility evolution, combining operational efficiency, flexibility, and user convenience within a scalable digital infrastructure.
