INDECT Parking Guidance System is a Success at Warner Bros. World, Abu Dhabi
INDECT, the parking industry’s leading provider of sensor-based parking guidance systems, has completed their latest parking guidance installation at Abu Dhabi’s newest theme park, Warner Bros. WorldTM.
A total of 1250 ultrasonic, single-space sensors and 50 wayfinding signs have been installed in the visitors' parking garage with an additional 700 spaces available on the rooftop.
Warner Bros. WorldTM is the second major theme park in Abu Dhabi to install an INDECT parking guidance system. Ferrari World, also situated on Yas Island, was an early adopter of the INDECT parking guidance technology.
“We are proud to be the system of choice for park operators.” said Wissam Dernayka, General Manager of INDECT Middle East. “INDECT has a reputation for accuracy and reliability and that’s especially important in busy garages with high pedestrian traffic.”
“When people visit theme parks they want to enjoy themselves and have a good time. The last thing they want is to be stuck driving around a hot parking garage searching for that last available space. They want to get in, park, and get out.” he said.
Warner Bros. WorldTM is a completely enclosed, climate-controlled theme park with six immersive lands and 29 family-friendly rides and attractions located on Yas Island. Weekends are the busiest time at the park with the parking garage usually at maximum capacity.
According to Dernayka, parking guidance is not just about directing drivers to the nearest available space, it’s also about maximizing the potential of the garage. Most garages have levels or areas with spaces that rarely turnover. Parking guidance encourages drivers to explore those levels and find spaces that they may never normally have found if left to their own devices.
“Most visitors want to park on the lowest levels, close to the park entrance and elevators, however, they are willing to follow signage all the way to the roof if it guarantees them an available space.” he said.
“The INDECT system was easy to install, test and commission.” said Mr. Ramzi Cortas, Project Manager of Falcon Eye Technology Abu Dhabi. “Our team was able to get the system up with minimal effort and in a very short amount of time.”
“The INDECT support office was quick to help and worked with us right up to the commissioning date. The software is user friendly and allows the client to generate a range of reports.” said Cortas.
The INDECT parking guidance system requires minimal maintenance and is built to withstand extreme climatic conditions.
“Our IP 67 rating means the system is completely sealed against dust, dirt, sand and debris. It’s perfectly suited to this environment.” said Dernayka.
INDECT prides itself on the quality of their products and is committed to remaining the best parking guidance system available on the market.
