Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 Concludes with Global Momentum and Real-World Impact
Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 has successfully concluded at RAI Amsterdam, reaffirming its position as the world’s leading platform for smart, safe and sustainable mobility. From 10 to 13 March, the global mobility community came together to exchange knowledge, showcase innovation and accelerate progress on the most pressing challenges facing cities and transport systems worldwide. Bringing together close to 30,000 professionals from 136 countries and 879 exhibitors, this year’s edition demonstrated the scale, diversity and urgency of the mobility transition. The next edition of Intertraffic Amsterdam is scheduled from 7 to 10 March 2028.
From Ambition to Tangible Results
Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 opened with a forward-looking dialogue on the impact of AI, robotics and automation in mobility, addressing the future of autonomous driving, the importance of real-world deployment, and the critical role of public trust, safety systems and collaboration between governments and industry. A central theme throughout the event was the transition from vision to implementation. Sessions highlighted how the industry is moving beyond pilots towards scalable, real-world applications of connected and autonomous mobility. Across more than 300 sessions, experts explored key topics including digitalisation of traffic management, road safety innovation, sustainable infrastructure, and integrated multimodal mobility systems. Live demonstrations, interactive discussions and cross-sector collaboration underscored how technology, policy and partnerships are converging to deliver measurable impact in cities worldwide.
Innovation Recognised at the Highest Level
Innovation remained at the heart of Intertraffic Amsterdam, culminating in the prestigious Intertraffic Awards 2026. Breakthrough solutions in sustainability, data-driven traffic management and user experience were recognised, alongside emerging startups and impactful inclusive mobility solutions. The diversity of winning solutions, from fibre-optic traffic monitoring to accessible infrastructure innovations, demonstrated the breadth of progress across the mobility ecosystem. An overview of the winners:
- The Green Globe Award – recognising environmental sustainability – was claimed by MB Air by HR Groep Streetcare, the world's first CE-certified compressed-air bicycle parking-lift system.
- The Inspiration Award went to Deltabloc TAM Technology by Deltabloc International, a revolutionary fibre optic sensing platform capable of monitoring traffic across 50 kilometres of road in real time.
- The User Experience Award was awarded to TLEX Interchange by Monotch, a cloud-native engine for seamlessly setting up real-time, low-latency mobility data exchange.
- Luxene claimed the ITSUP Startup Award for its innovative laser-driven, fibre-optic road-marking system.
- A Special Jury Mention was given to NavTac Temporary Tactile Guidance Films by Brite-Line.
A Global Platform for Collaboration
Intertraffic Amsterdam once again proved its value as a unique meeting place where public and private stakeholders connect across the entire mobility value chain. From policymakers and city authorities to technology providers and startups, the event fostered partnerships aimed at addressing congestion, improving road safety and accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility. Exhibitor Satisfaction
Exhibitors were keen to give their feedback on the event. “We were overwhelmed by the strong interest in our LiDAR-based sensing platform for Intelligent Traffic Management” said Laurentiu Maniu, Amorph Systems GmbH. “We used the trade fair to mark our entry into the traffic industry.” Richard Neumann, SWARCO AG added "At Intertraffic Amsterdam we really meet our global customer base to introduce them to our innovations and system competence. The perfect place to also thank our stakeholders for their continued trust in us." One of the start-up exhibitors commented, ”With this being our first time at Intertraffic, exhibiting as part of ITSUP start-up area was absolutely exhilarating! Quantity and quality went hand-in-hand with visitors from around the globe - we'll definitely be back in 2028.” The exhibitor satisfaction for Intertraffic Amsterdam also goes to show in the on-the-spot reservation of 70% of available floor space for 2028.
Visitor Enthusiasm
Visitors were equally enthusiastic. Asking for feedback resulted in statements ranging from “Very well organized and highly relevant event, with a great mix of innovation and practical solutions. My most positive takeaway is the opportunity to connect directly with manufacturers and discover new products we can quickly bring to our market.” and “Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 is a must-attend event for anyone involved in smart mobility and parking. The most positive takeaway was the combination of innovation, real-world applications, and high-quality networking.” to “Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 offered a highly professional and insightful experience, combining strong organization with meaningful business interactions. The most positive takeaway was the direct exposure to innovative solutions and the opportunity to build valuable connections across the industry.” 83% of visitors rated the event with a mark of 8 (out of 10) or higher. 86% intend to visit again in 2028.
