IONNA and Circle K Partner to Roll Out Hundreds of EV Charging Locations Across North America
IONNA has announced a partnership with Circle K to deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at more than 350 locations across the United States and Canada. The initiative represents a major step in expanding public charging availability, with hundreds of sites expected to be developed over the coming years.
Each location is planned to feature multiple high-power chargers as part of a broader target of installing 30,000 charging bays by 2030. These chargers are designed to deliver ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 350 kW, supporting efficient and reliable charging for a wide range of EV models.
IONNA, which is backed by a group of leading global automakers, is aiming to build a reliable, nationwide charging network with thousands of charging points. The partnership with Circle K contributes significantly toward that goal, adding hundreds of new locations and potentially several thousand individual charging ports.
From Circle K’s perspective, the addition of EV charging complements its existing infrastructure and positions its sites for the transition toward electrified mobility. Integrating fast chargers at established service stations also allows drivers to combine charging stops with retail services, improving overall convenience.
Initial site deployments are expected to begin rolling out in phases, with early installations anticipated within the next year and continued expansion aligned with increasing EV adoption rates across North America.
