IP Parking: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

IP Parking is proud to continue its partnership with Inova Health System with the successful deployment of a new PARCS installation at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. This latest project builds on IP Parking’s existing relationship with Inova, which also includes an earlier deployment at Inova Health Center – Oakville, reflecting a continued, collaborative approach across multiple locations. These projects reflect a shared focus on operational reliability, flexibility, and meeting strict security requirements in a healthcare environment. IP Parking values the trust placed in this collaboration and looks forward to supporting Inova’s continued growth.

Large-Scale Deployment

The system at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus includes 41 lanes equipped with IP2 Xperience terminals at entry, exit, and pay-on-foot locations, supporting more than 68,000 transactions per month. Key elements of the deployment include:

• License plate recognition (LPR) as a core identifier
• IP2 Xperience terminals standardized across entry, exit, and pay-on-foot, reducing spare parts inventory and maintenance complexity
• Integration with existing intercom systems
• Connection to Convergent for subscriber management and intercom functionalities
• Configurable validation workflows tailored to hospital operations
• Support for employee parking

Thanks to this approach, the high security requirements were achieved without impacting operational efficiency or user experience.

Security as a Foundation Across Projects

Due to the size and nature of the medical campus, security played a central role throughout the project. Environments such as hospitals, airports and universities require systems that meet high security standards while remaining reliable and easily manageable. IP Parking incorporates these requirements as standard in every implementation. Working closely with Inova's IT team, we ensure that the system fully complies with strict internal security guidelines, without compromising on ease of use for employees and visitors.
