Israel Airports Authority Launches Tender for Ben-Gurion Airport Parking Operations

The Israel Airports Authority has opened a tender for the management and operation of the parking network at Ben-Gurion Airport, covering approximately 20,000 spaces across 27 parking facilities.

The selected operator will oversee both short- and long-term parking, as well as payment services, subscriptions, traffic coordination, vehicle guidance and the airport’s central parking control room. The contract will cover facilities used by private motorists, rental companies, taxis, buses, minibuses and other commercial vehicles.

Technology will form an important part of the future parking operation. Planned capabilities include remote supervision, automated payment equipment, integration with mobile payment platforms and smart parking systems designed to improve vehicle circulation and reduce delays during busy periods.

In addition to Ben-Gurion Airport, the operator will be responsible for parking control rooms at Ramon Airport, Haifa Airport and the Begin border crossing.

The tender forms part of the authority’s efforts to modernize landside services and prepare the airport’s parking infrastructure for continued passenger growth and rising demand.
