Kapsch wins Innovation Award at Intertraffic in Amsterdam

Award for tunnel safety product in the "Safety" category

Kapsch TrafficCom has been awarded the Intertraffic Innovation Award in the "Safety" category for its new tunnel safety product Automatic Camera Calibration (ACC) at Intertraffic Amsterdam, one of the worlds biggest trade exhibitions for traffic infrastructure, traffic management, road safety and parking, held in Amsterdam.

The new tunnel safety product, ACC, beat numerous other entries to win by virtue of its extraordinary speed, precision, cost-efficient and the unambiguous safety aspect. With ACC, Kapsch presents a revolutionary and simple way of calibrating tunnel cameras within the scope of the Incident Detection System 2.0. "The calibration of detection cameras in tunnels used to be expensive and time-intensive. With ACC, this process has been optimised in various ways. The award at Intertraffic in Amsterdam reflects the interest of visitors in the tunnel safety products of Kapsch," said a delighted Marcus Braun, Product Manager Video & Sensor Solutions at Kapsch.
