Kathrein under new management

The Rosenheim operation KATHREIN-Werke KG now has a new general partner. After the untimely death of Councillor of Commerce Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Anton Kathrein, Dipl.-Ing. Anton Kathrein has now taken over as general partner with immediate effect. As the managing partner with unlimited liability of the world's oldest and largest antenna manufacturer and of the Kathrein Group, Anton Kathrein sets the stage for successful advancements.

Ing. Anton Kathrein established the globally active enterprise in 1919 and his son Prof. Dr. Kathrein led the company from 1972 up to 13th November 2012, when he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 61. The 28-year old engineer Anton Kathrein is now the third generation to lead the company.

Anton Kathrein relies on a four-person executive board which was appointed by Prof. Dr. Kathrein one year ago. The board is formed by professionals with many years of expertise both inside and outside the company for which they now take full responsibility as executives.

For Sales & Marketing – Christian Harel (51), formerly managing director at the subsidiary KATHREIN-France and therefore responsible for sales and distribution in France and Africa. He has been with the company for 19 years.

For Finance & Administration, HR and Information Technology (IT) – Norbert Schindler (49), formerly head of financial accounting at Kathrein, has been earning the trust of the entrepreneurial family for eight years.

R & D – Walter Staniszewski (63), who began his career at Kathrein as an apprentice 44 years ago, went on to study plastics technology and then returned to the company where he has been responsible for the design engineering of Kathrein products.

For Production, Logistics, Purchasing and Quality – Frank Ullmann (45) has been working at Kathrein for eleven years. In his position as head of business administration, he was previously in charge of controlling and affiliates.

The Kathrein Group consists of 62 companies. For this legal year, projected sales are to reach 1.4 billion euros. Over 6,800 are employed world-wide.
