METRIC Elite LS parking terminals go live in Cape Verde

Cape Verde has begun implementing a new project for traffic management by replacing a quarter of their existing parking terminals with solar-powered METRIC Elite LS.

Three years ago, the municipality set up a company, EMEP, to manage parking, traffic and transit of the capital city of Praia and Cape Verde. Working with METRIC’s Portuguese distributor, Multifrota, they commissioned the installation of the new METRIC parking terminals as part of the project.

“The acquisition of parking meters demonstrates that the project is trustworthy and is going well” says Director of EMEP, Mario Fernandes.

The terminals have been installed at the most critical areas of the city to aid with mobility of transit.
