Bethlehem Parking Authority Launches ParkNOW! Pay By Cell Pilot At DBA Bash on July 6

MobileNOW!  and the City of Bethlehem, PA will kick-off the ParkNOW! pay-by-cell service in over 1,500 parking spaces  on- and -off-street) at a Beach party hosted by the Downtown Business Association on the roof of the Bethlehem Parking Authority, Friday, July 6, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. 

Some 1500 people in attendance will receive free parking vouchers, courtesy of the Bethlehem Parking Authority, ranging from $1 to $10 in value.  Simultaneously on the South Side, ParkNOW! meter greeters will distribute another $2000 worth of "free" Parking vouchers to City residents and visitors.

President Krista Tassa, “We are very excited to begin rolling-out the ParkNOW! !™ system in Bethlehem.  We believe that with the strong involvement of the city’s Downtown Business Association, we can achieve high adoption rates.”   "Cell phone customers  will have the added benefit of being able to pay for time parked only, as well as park for "free" the first Friday of each month, from 5 to 9 pm, on Bethlehem's South Side, adds BPA Executive Director, Tom Hartley. ”  

ParkNOW! permits drivers to initiate and pay for a parking session by using a cell phone by calling the phone number located on the meter, street, or lot sign.  Smartphone users can use the ParkNOW! app to enter the space number manually or simply scan a QR code on the parking meter, or sign post. The code identifies the space number which makes it not only more convenient to park but eliminates  the risk of human error with manual entry. The ParkNOW! app is available for free at iTunes and Android Market. “We constantly thrive to give the customer the most convenient tools possible to take the pain away from parking.
