MobileNOW! Supports Economic Development in Bethlehem, PA; Merchant Validations to Roll Out in Spring

MobileNOW!, a global innovator and world’s first for mobile payments in parking, was featured during the 2015 Bethlehem Economic Outlook Breakfast this week as a key technology provider for driving economic development in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

In attendance were approximately 175 Bethlehem community leaders, including government officials, surrounding communities and local merchants.

MobileNOW! CEO, John Oglesby, presented record mobile payment adoption results in Bethlehem and a number of noteworthy results for the city. Since the launch of MobileNOW!, Bethlehem reported their highest mobile payment adoption in February, which more than doubled mobile payment revenue of February 2014.

The Bethlehem Parking Authority anticipates continued growth in mobile payment adoption and revenue.

“On behalf of MobileNOW!, it is an honor to support economic growth and development in Bethlehem,” said Oglesby. “Our partnership with the Bethlehem Parking Authority, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Business Association, and local merchants have made mobile payment adoption very successful throughout the city.”

MobileNOW! will roll out an exclusive merchant validation program in Bethlehem in the Spring, which will allow merchants to provide free parking to patrons or pay for a portion of parking sessions by providing a QR code. The program is anticipated to boost local business and incentivize mobile payments for parking.
