Park and Pay for Parking in Allentown

Today the highly successful pilot for mobile payment for parking has been expanded to hundreds more parking spaces in Allentown. Citizens may pay to park by mobile phone the MobileNOW! Smart Phone app or the web at Mobile-Now.com. MobileNOW! the exclusive provider for Allentown, is expanding to Allentown’s main thoroughfare, Hamilton Street, beginning June 26, 2014. This is great news for residents and visitors, making it super-convenient to pay for parking without needing coins for a meter.

To make it as easy as possible, download the MobileNOW! app from any smart phone app store when you arrive or better yet, prior to parking. Downloading the app in advance of parking (takes about one minute) allows you to park in three easy steps. For those who have questions, MobileNOW! ambassadors will be at the Summer in the City Music Series this Thursday, and next at the PPL Plaza (9th and Hamilton Street), from 11:00 am- 2:00 pm.

Once the MobileNOW! app is installed, simply park and use the MobileNOW! App. You can scan the QR code on the meter decal. If you prefer, enter the parking space number manually, select the duration, and the payment is completed and confirmed. There is a nominal convenience fee for the service – much less than the cost of a parking citation or the frustration associated with hunting for coins!

The MobileNOW! service includes a FREE reminder alert when your time is nearly up.

MobileNOW! makes it easy to get to all the summer events happening downtown, and visit local restaurants and shops. Never have the anxiety of running out of time at the meter again! According to city leaders, “We think our customers deserve the best, so we are offering them this state-of-the-art payment option. It’s simple and convenient – just like it should be. Plus. the meters are still there, if a customer prefers the meter.
