ParkNOW! Further Expands Pay by Cell Parking in New Jersey Transit Train Stations by Launching Service in Dunellen

- New Jersey, US

Mobile NOW LLC, a leading US provider of Pay by Cell parking services under the service name ParkNOW!™, launches Pay by Cell payments for parking in the NJ Transit lots in Dunellen, NJ, together with Metric Group Inc. Dunellen becomes the seventh city in New Jersey to offer the ParkNOW! Pay by Cell parking service.

Commuters in Dunellen no longer need to worry about getting a parking ticket or missing the train while waiting in line to pay for parking. ParkNOW! enables drivers to pay for parking by phone while on the go by either calling a local telephone number, or using a mobile app.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. Commuters can start, stop and extend their parking sessions by calling the automated service number posted on lot signs, or use the ParkNOW! app, available free of charge through  iTunes and Google Play / Android Market.

Once parking is initiated, the system sends an automatic notification to Metric’s Aslan database. Thus enforcement of cell phone parking sessions takes place through Metric’s Aslan backend. The enforcement handhelds receive data about all parking sessions regardless of whether they were initiated at the meter or by cell.
