ParkNOW!’s Expansion in New Jersey Continues with Launch of Pay by Cell Parking Pilot in Camden, in 250-Spaces Surrounding the Downtown Rutgers University Campus

Camden, NJ: This week MobileNOW LLC, a leading US provider of Pay by Cell parking services under the service name ParkNOW!™, offers Pay by Cell payments for parking in Camden. Initially, a 6-month pilot will be conducted in some 250 parking spaces in the area surrounding the Rutgers University campus. Finally, those who actually use cell phones the most and cannot imagine their life without apps and social media will be able to take advantage of this mobile payment technology.  Currently the Camden campus is home to more than 6 400 students and the faculty and staff of over 850 people.

Rutgers students will never have to run to meters in the middle of classes again! They can simply use their cell phones to start, stop or extend parking, when needed. Meters in this area will not show actual “time posted on the meter,”, however enforcement officers will access payment information from ParkNOW!’s web-based system. Students can  use the ParkNOW! app  to either scan a QR code on a meter, select the Camden location manually,  or make an IVR (interactive voice response) call to initiate a parking session.   A text messaging option is also available..
