Schiedam Gets New Insights in Parking Permit Data With Integration of ParQ and Monit

Schiedam Is Adding Data About Parking Permits From ParQ by Qualogy Into Monit Data’s Parking Monitor

The municipality of Schiedam is adding data about parking permits from ParQ by Qualogy into Monit Data’s Parking Monitor. With this new information, the municipality gets new clear geographical views of issued permits in parking data dashboards. This data integration also allows for optimizing parking capacity by combining information about issued permits and measured parking occupancy.

Parking Permit Management

Managing parking permits is a complex process involving many variables, such as different rates per area, the maximum number of permits per neigbourhood or address, waiting lists, and exception addresses. Visitor permits, environmental zones, and parking options in adjacent areas or on private premises must also be considered in issuing permits.

Digitization plays a significant role in tall of this. In this digital world citizens and businesses want to apply for and manage permits online. And also permits are nowadays primarily digital, unlike the physical stickers of the past. This requires timely updates in the parking rights database (NPR) to enable enforcement.

ParQ by Qualogy addresses this complexity and digitization in parking permits. The SaaS platform offers a user-friendly and secure environment for both municipal employees and permit holders, with minimal actions and easy integration with other systems.

This integration is a valuable step forward for parking management in Schiedam. It allows us to visualize parking permit data and directly link it to parking occupancy. This helps us make better-informed policy decisions regarding optimizing parking capacity and reducing congestion in busy neighborhoods or areas. This integration also aligns with our ambition to work more data-driven and future-focused.

Integration in the Parking Monitor

The integration of ParQ and the Parking Monitor offers many benefits for municipalities. Firstly, it provides a clear geographical map view of issued permits available via the Parking Monitor’s dashboard. Additionally, it allows information to be combined with other parking services in the Parking Monitor, such as street and garage parking. For example, municipalities can compare issued permits with measured parking occupancy in a neigbourhood to determine if the number of permits needs to be adjusted. Schiedam is the first municipality to use this new integration between ParQ and Monit Data.

Parking permit information is a valuable insight available in Monit Data’s Parking Monitor. The integration between ParQ by Qualogy and the Parking Monitor adds value to both applications, which complement each other perfectly for cities that want to manage multiple parking services digitally. We are pleased that through the collaboration of our teams, we can provide the municipality of Schiedam with clear and easily accessible parking permit information via one dashboard.
