MSR-Traffic Project Implemented at Frankfurt Airport

The Successful Cooperation Between MSR-Traffic and Fraport AG Will Be Continued.

When trust grows: Another project implemented at Frankfurt Airport - The successful cooperation between MSR-Traffic and Fraport AG will be continued.

Initial Situation

Frankfurt Airport, Terminal 1 (multi-storey car park 33):

When the car park was more fully utilised, in certain areas parking guests often drove several rows within one level until a suitable parking space was found. In order to improve the service level for customers, these areas were upgraded with individual parking space monitoring.

Solution of MSR-Traffic

  • 450 SONICI ultrasonic sensors for single parking space monitoring
  • LED matrix displays for clear direction indication at decision points
  • Central control and evaluation via the PGCC – ParkGard Control Center

Thanks to the real-time recording and visualization of free parking spaces, visitors are now guided in a targeted manner – efficiently, intuitively and without detours.
