Nature centre's new car park is cause for celebration

Visitors to a nature centre near Trowbridge will have somewhere better to park following a 21,000 fundraising campaign.
Funds raised by the Hope Nature Centre in Southwick Country Park over the past three years, have now been spent on re-laying the car park.

Work is being carried out by Somerset firm Wainwright today.

June Fleming, of the charity, said: It has made such a difference to the car park - they have done a good job.

We had so many complaints about the car park. We have struggled for three years with it.

We raised the money through our fete last year, coffee mornings and evening functions. A lot of kind people have given us donations.

The nature centres next fundraising target will be to raise 85,000 for an extension - a total of 6,500 has been raised already.
