NCP Goes Mobile Off Street

Following the success of phone payment at a number of its managed rail sites, NCP has recently launched the Verrus service across the whole of its UK off street pay and display portfolio. The contract, covering some 136 car parks, is the largest non rail phone payment contract to have been awarded to date.
Verrus is providing a white labelled service for NCP under the brand name NCP Fastpark. New signage and stickers have been installed in the car parks incorporating the stylish green NCP Fastpark logo. As part of the package Verrus has constructed a branded website for NCP which enables clients to sign up on line, manage their account and access other NCP services.

NCP continually strives to be at the forefront of introducing new technologies into its car parks. Our research has shown that customers want more convenient methods of payment in our car parks and we knew from the success of the Verrus service at our rail sites, that it was something customers would welcome in our own pay and display car parks. Commented Graham Erskine, operations director for NCP.

" We have also been impressed with the way Verrus has developed as an organisation over the past year and the way it has identified what needs to be done to take this technology to the next stage in terms of integration with third party services and the introduction of new ideas".

Commenting on the launch of this service, Verrus CEO, Robin Bevan commented "We are obviously delighted to have increased our involvement with NCP and to have won this major contract. NCPs endorsement of this technology across its UK wide operation will bring mobile phone payment into the mainstream and help promote the service to a much wider audience."
