Efficiency and Convenience: The Successful Integration of Nedap, ST&D Apeldoorn B.V. And Tommy Booking Support for Automatic Access Control at Recreational Environments

Support for automatic access control at recreational environments

In the recreational sector, the transition from local server-based reservation systems to cloud software has paved the way for a growing trend in the use of online booking systems. Holiday park and campsite owners are increasingly embracing these systems to automate the entire booking process for accommodations and campgrounds.

This results in a smoother check-in experience for guests, while receptionists can focus on other tasks. One challenge still remains: manual control of the vehicle access barriers resulting in queues during peak hours. Nedap, ST&D Apeldoorn B.V. and Tommy Booking Support have been working together for five years to revolutionize holiday parks, campsites and camper parks with automated check-ins and benefits for both guests and managers.

Tommy: The Reservation System With Improved Results and Insights

Tommy Booking Support specializes in providing advanced reservation and booking software solutions for recreation businesses. They offer an all-in-one system that enables holiday parks, campsites and other recreation businesses to streamline their operational processes, manage reservations efficiently and provide guests with a seamless booking experience. Tommy is the online reservation system for the recreation industry. Visitors can make a reservation and pay online in just a few clicks. Real-time links with tour operators make accommodations and spots visible through various tour operators. For example, when booking, the license plate number of the vehicle can be passed on so that automatic check-in is possible. In addition if an online booking is realized also an automatic PIN is generated. The PIN can be used to gain access in case a guest arrives with a different vehicle than originally booked.

Meanwhile, through Tommy, 1000 recreation entrepreneurs today have a user-friendly and affordable online reservation system.

We are very pleased with the cooperation with our partners Nedap and ST&D Apeldoorn B.V.. Thanks to the successful integration between Tommy and MOOV Leisure, we ensure that holiday parks and campsites can optimize operational processes and guests can automatically check in and access the park.” Herbert van den Born, General Manager at Tommy Booking Support.

Integration With Nedap MOOV Leisure

Nedap's MOOV Leisure solution integrates seamlessly with the Tommy reservation system. MOOV Leisure is a software module for controlled vehicle access to holiday parks and campsites. Thanks to this integration, park owners can easily manage access profiles and policies, and guests who have booked through Tommy have automatic access to the park. This is made possible by linking the registration number and booked stay dates in combination with license plate number or PIN, thus recording entry and exit times.

Vehicle entry and exit times are linked back to Tommy by MOOV Leisure, providing insight into vehicle arrival and departure times and guest check-in and check-out times. This enables contactless and automatic guest access and check-in. In addition, guest check-in and check-out information allows administrators to automatically turn power on when guests arrive or off when they leave. In today’s era it is critical to manage energy efficiently in order to reduce energy costs.

Benefits of integration

The benefits of this integration are significant and have a positive impact on both holiday parks and their guests. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Automatic check-ins: guests can check in quickly and easily without delay at the front desk, improving overall satisfaction.
  • Time savings: staff can save valuable time that would otherwise be spent overseeing the barrier, who checks in and out, and a host of other administrative tasks.
  • Improved guest experience: guests experience effortless arrival, as they can automatically gain access at the barrier based on license plate or PIN. This improves the overall impression and experience of the resort.
  • Operational efficiency: the integration helps holiday parks optimize their operational processes, manage energy and save costs.
