New Parking Garage to Arrive in Las Vegas Arts District

Work on a much-needed $25 million parking garage is set to get underway in the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas. The project is part of the city’s effort to support continued growth in the area by addressing a long-standing shortage of parking.
The new structure will be built at the corner of Utah Avenue and Casino Center Boulevard. To make this happen, the city is purchasing two parcels of land for a combined cost of about $5 million. These acquisitions follow an earlier purchase on Utah Avenue for $1.6 million.
The garage is expected to include four to five levels with approximately 500 parking spaces. In addition, it will offer between 10,000 and 15,000 square feet of retail space at street level, designed to boost local businesses and improve pedestrian access.
According to city officials, a 2019 study showed that the Arts District lacked close to 900 parking spaces. Since then, temporary measures have added around 300 new spaces, and further efforts are underway to ease parking pressure ahead of the garage’s completion.
Construction is scheduled to begin once a design-build agreement is finalized, with a target completion date in late 2025 or early 2026. City estimates suggest the garage could generate over $1 million in revenue during its first full year of operation.
