Interview with John Incandela - President & CEO of Mobile SmartCity

Q: Can you tell us how Mobile SmartCity powered by Pango came about?

JI: Back in the last quarter of 2016 Parking by Phone purchased Pango USA from the original owners based in Israel (the Israel Pango is not connected to MSC), with this acquisition/merger we created Mobile SmartCity with its Headquarters based in Miami FL., currently servicing North America, the Caribbean, Latin America as well as operations in Europe.

Q: What was the process of merging the 2 companies?

JI: Let me start with sharing the process of merging the 2 companies, we began the process with the evaluation of each of these companies looking for what works and doesn’t work as well as a business model that ultimately makes sense. We believe that our due diligence and ability to understand market needs has put MSC in a unique position to be able to strategically plan, execute and have strong results.

Over the first half of this year we have now created an elite solution provider with a strong IT and Development Team, upgraded our Management Team with a clear focus on execution and being proactive and committed ourselves to providing the best solutions in the market.

Q: Tell us about your solutions?

JI: MSC core product is and will remain mobile payment for On-street and Off-street parking, we also offer Enforcement, Permit Management, Special Event, LPR solutions, Pango Select Business as well as our New Fast Pass gated solution. We are now beginning to develop Smart City solutions as well, we now have current partners asking us to take on other payment streams for their business.

Q: What has been the biggest challenges your company has faced?

JI: We have dealt with some organic challenges which we have been able to overcome and then there is the noise factor about our company - that others in this market space feel they must create, as our partners describe as “unprofessional, unethical and questionable” however this is easy to overcome by providing a professional positive operation which we have done.

Q: so overall have you hit your goals so far in 2017?

JI: Yes, and we have surpassed them! We have taken on new partnerships (cities, private operators Colleges) not only in the US as well of other areas of the world, we have developed a strong platform and continue to provide exciting new solutions.

Mobile SmartCity powered by Pango has positioned itself for now and the future. We understand partners goals change - which then creates a need for development of new technology – this is an area that we have been very successful in and will continue to lead the way.
