Park Assist has been Awarded its Third Parking Guidance System Contract for Lake Nona Town Center
Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Lake Nona Town Center’s latest Headquarters Office (HQO) project. Developed by Tavistock Development Company, Lake Nona Town Center is a premier mixed-use destination located in Orlando, FL. The center consists of six million square feet of shopping, dining, and entertainment for guests, with a Marriott and Residence Inn on-site, an open-air social setting, and a nine-screen cinema. The HQO project will incorporate an additional office component to this site and provide parking availability for all future office employees. Equipped with Park Assist’s M4 system, Lake Nona Town Center’s latest garage will continue to deliver a superior parking experience for all office employees and guests.
Given Park Assist’s long-standing presence in Florida, the success of its previous installations on-site, and its industry-leading technology, Lake Nona chose to implement Park Assist’s camera-based M4 smart-sensor system in its newest facility. Park Assist’s proprietary M4 PGS and digital wayfinding signage offer each parker advanced guidance from garage entry to exit, removing stress and uncertainty from the parking journey and curating an enhanced customer experience. The color-coded M4 smart-sensor system guides parkers through the facility to vacant spaces using red and green lights to indicate occupancy, guaranteeing reduced search and park times, and decreased traffic.
This PGS will also include exclusive software add-ons that utilize Park Assist’s License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology, such as Park Finder™ and Park Alerts™, as well as Park Surveillance™. Upon returning to the facility, Park Assist’s customer-centric Find Your Car™ feature enables guests to swiftly locate their vehicle. By merely entering all or part of their license plate number into a Park Assist enabled kiosk, parkers are guided to the exact space where their car is parked, increasing customer satisfaction and decreasing the time it takes to exit the facility.
Park Assist’s Park Alerts and Park Surveillance software add-ons help increase control and security in the garage. The Park Alerts software extension allows parking management to set automated rules and alerts, enabling operations staff to enforce policies and remain informed about parking abuse and violations within the garage. Park Assist’s Park Surveillance module enables the M4 sensors to capture streaming video of any movement in or around parking bays. With unobstructed views of each parking bay as well as the space in between vehicles, the M4 cameras can successfully capture all action in the garage, serving as a proven deterrent of theft and other criminal behaviors.

Site work at Lake Nona is already underway, and the installation is slated for completion by the end of 2020.
