Chris has been with Parkeon for 15 years, with his most recent position being Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Chris has a strong background in transit activities and he takes over an organization that just recently combined its parking and transit operations, enabling Parkeon to provide and implement systems to improve global urban mobility.

Chris came to the US market at the end of 2011, after leading a successful team covering regions such as the United Kingdom, United States, South Africa, Australia, The Middle East, Scandinavia, and India. Chris has played a key part in many important global projects including the Prestige Project in London, delivering the London Transport system serving 90 stations and 8,000 buses, and Parkeons Sydney, Australia project that includes 4,500 on-board fare collectors. In the US, Chris has worked with New Jersey Transit to deliver their on-board fare collection equipment, and is currently working with New York City Transit to ensure satisfaction of their 100 Strada Pay Stations serving their Bus Rapid Transit system.

We are very pleased to name Chris Octon as the new President for Parkeon in the US, said Stephane Roques, Parkeons Global Sales and Marketing Director. Chris has the ability to exceed client expectations and he has the background and skills to lead our team as it faces a market looking for more advanced features in its parking and transit systems. In the US, we sold 4,000 pay stations in 2011 and 4,500 pay stations so far in 2012, so we are solidified as the market leader today, said Roques.
