Plymouth puts new Strada P&D parking terminal to the test
UK Headquarters, 2005 Parkeon, the worlds leading provider of parking space management solutions, is introducing an additional version of its Strada Pay & Display (P&D) parking terminal. The new model known as the Strada Rapide - features an ergonomically-designed transferable cash box to make the coin collection procedure as fast and uncomplicated as possible.
Power consumption management has been optimised on the solar-powered Strada Rapide to increase further its daily ticket-issuing capability, making this environmentally-friendly and easily installed variant a viable proposition in more locations. Solar power eliminates the Health & Safety risks associated with mains electricity in relation to installation and parking personnel and the general public; although a mains operated version is available, as well as an autonomous battery model.
Unparalleled security is also a feature of the Strada Rapide, which incorporates special materials to further enhance resistance against attacks. It is fitted with a highly secure electronic locking mechanism that is fully-shielded inside the vault. Once opened, the collection door provides no internal access to secure areas.
The electronic locking mechanism can be re-programmed, along with the key, in the event of key loss. This saves time and money in the aftermath of such an occurrence and minimises machine downtime.
Such security features are designed to protect parking revenues and ensure that drivers will always find operational machines – which also helps to maintain revenue streams and reduce parking disputes, respectively.
Two new semi-metallic finishes: Trinity Green and Titanium Grey, are being introduced for the new machine.
