Savannah, GA and Telluride, CO Choose Parkeon Again

Moorestown, NJ, April 10, 2012 On-street multi-space parking meter technology has evolved over the last decade, but one thing still remains constant - motorists in the cities of Savannah, GA and Telluride, CO will continue to pay for their parking using Parkeon pay stations.

These two cities were among the first in the United States to adopt the multi-space meter concept with Telluride installing meters in 1999 and Savannah deploying in 2003. Both municipalities have had years of success with Parkeon DG pay stations and decided to update their systems with Parkeon Strada pay stations, providing additional functionalities such as on-line, real-time credit card acceptance and wireless communication with Parkeons myParkfolio back-office system.

Both Savannah and Telluride awarded contracts to Parkeon after a competitive bid process. During Savannahs bid process, the City selected 3 vendors for an extended trial period. In addition to the Strada meter operating flawlessly, Parkeon was able to display solar superiority over the competition even in heavily shaded areas. Parkeon received the purchase order from Savannah on March 14 for 60 Stradas. These pay stations will operate in Pay-by-Space mode including integrated enforcement with Savannahs T2 Systems handheld interface.

Parkeon completed the installation of Tellurides 38 new Stradas just 5 weeks after receiving the order, which included removing the older Parkeon pay stations, because they wanted the meters installed before the winter season. The pay stations operated extremely well during Tellurides cold and snowy winter.

Having long time clients come back after so many years and purchase new meter systems is what we always strive for, said Kevin Woznicki, President of Parkeons US operations. We really value our relationship with Savannah and Telluride, and appreciate that they see the value in investing in Parkeon for a second time.
