Parking Design Software wins 'Best of Show' Award

As stated previously, the world's best selling parking design tool is now available for MicroStation - Bentley's CAD development platform. In the past, users could only work with this specialized design software on Autodesk's AutoCAD system. Elaborating on the compatibility issue, Transoft Solutions' Associate Product Manager, Michael Frost said, "At first, we chose to pilot a version of ParkCAD just for AutoCAD users. At the time, we felt that we needed to target a specific segment of the industry to allow us to control the input of feature\functionality requests to ultimately enable us to provide a significantly improved application before it was ported to MicroStation."
Mr. Frost further remarked on ParkCAD 2.1's strong showing at the conference. "We had the fortunate opportunity to show ParkCAD 2.1 at the BE event to a multitude of MicroStation user's from a variety of engineering disciplines. Every contact that has had to design a parking layout in the course of their careers stood in amazement of the speed and ease of use for laying out and reporting of stall counts and percentages during the presentation. The common sentiment of "What took me hours just took you 2 minutes" was reflected by the majority.
