Paying for Parking Just Got Easier Thanks to the New ParknCloud Geoparking™ Service

New York, Mylaensys has just announced the launch of a new electronic parking payment service called ParknCloud that allows users to conveniently pay for parking with a smartphone. Using the latest Geoparking™ technology, rollout of the service is planned to major US cities starting with the West Coast.

The ParknCloud electronic parking payment service is sure to appeal to anyone who has ever searched for loose change at a parking meter, been waiting in line at a parking kiosk or has needed to leave a restaurant during a meal in order to avoid a parking fine.
The parking service is accessed through the mobile browser with the look and feel of an App and user-friendly button icons and screens allow for quick and easy operation.

Thanks to Geoparking™ technology the user is able to identify where the parking service is available, obtain the parking rate, purchase parking time and extend an active parking session – all at the touch of a button. Should the user return to their vehicle before parking time expires, credits are debited only for the actual time used, based on a “Pay As You Go” fashion. A handy text reminder feature can be activated which sends a message 15 minutes before the parking time expires, so that parking can be extended on the fly.

To start using the service a simple account registration is required and the purchase of electronic parking credits. Unlike many other services that are paid for via a mobile device, ParknCloud does not go through the usual payment networks so no unpleasant transaction fees are applied. Registration is free and the user is charged just a nominal amount when purchasing parking credits.

Mylaensys is planning to initially roll out the ParknCloud service on the West Coast from September 2012 but looks forward to extending it to other parts of the US shortly thereafter.
