German Handball International Rune Dahmke Joins Peuka as Partner

German handball international Rune Dahmke is joining Peuka as a partner. The Kiel-born European champion and Olympic silver medallist is backing Peuka's vision of reliable arrivals, while the company launches new app features and goes live in more German cities.

Rune Dahmke and Peuka: A Kiel Partnership

Born in Kiel, Rune Dahmke plays left wing for THW Kiel, with whom he has won the EHF Champions League. With the German national team he became European champion in 2016, won Olympic silver in Paris in 2024 and took silver again at the 2026 European Championship. As a partner, he supports Peuka's vision of establishing arrival as a quality promise and will be one of the faces of the brand, helping to make Peuka better known across Germany.

New in the Peuka App

The latest update is designed to make parking time easier to keep track of. With Live Activities, an active parking session now appears on the lock screen of both iPhone and Android devices, so drivers can see how much time remains without opening the app. Parking times are set with a new scrollable time wheel, already available to all users, which makes choosing an end time quicker and more precise.

The app also comes in a light mode that follows the phone's system settings automatically. Since parking happens outdoors, a light display is much easier to read in bright sunlight, right when a driver is starting a session next to the car. All new features are available now for all users of the Peuka app.

Growing Across Germany

Peuka is also continuing its rollout. Among the latest additions are Freiburg im Breisgau, Koblenz, Siegen, Singen and Heppenheim, where drivers can now start, extend and pay for parking in the Peuka app, with billing by the minute and no need for coins or a ticket machine. The platform brings public, private and commercial parking together in one app and opens up spaces that were previously not accessible, so drivers can arrive with a plan instead of circling the block.
