Plug-In Vehicle Solutions, an Electric Car Charging Station Distributor Signs Deal with Optimization Technologies
Plug-In Vehicle Solutions,Inc., the leading distributor of electric vehicle charging stations signed an agreement with Optimization Technologies, manufacturer of the OpConnect Electric Vehicle Charging System to sell and perform installation of their product lines.
The OpConnect EV Charging system meets all industry and safety standards, serves up to four vehicles at a time, and supports Level 1 (120 V) & Level 2 (240 V) charging.
"We are very excited to represent the OpConnect Electrical Vehicle Charging System," said Mike Piscitelli, President of Plug-In Vehicle Solutions. "OpConnect's networked EV charging stations addresses the needs of drivers, fleets, municipalties, utilities, governments, and parking garage owners. Being able to charge 4 vehicles at once, accept credit cards/debit cards and the networked capability of the product will be key factors for buyers of these charging stations. An estimated 1 Million charging stations will need to be installed nationwide by 2015."
Were pleased to have Mike and the Plug-In Vehicles Solutions team join us in bringing the OpConnect charging stations to the Mid-West and beyond, said Dexter Turner, CEO and President of Optimization Technologies. OpConnect customers from station owners to EV drivers have come to enjoy the benefits from our networked, smart charging stations. Plug-In Vehicles Solutions will add to that positive experience through its passion for electric vehicles and its talented local technicians.
The OpConnect charging stations help customers save time, money and the environment, Turner said. The charging stations allow for time-of-day charging that can take advantage of cheaper energy costs during off-peak times, as well as renewable energy sources. The OpConnect charging stations also feature the Wireless Valet that includes a smart phone application that directs drivers to the nearest available charging station. Those drivers also receive an optional e-mail, text message, or Tweet alert when their charging is complete or interrupted.
