Reno-Tahoe International Airport Introduces New Park & Walk Lot

Reno-Tahoe International Airport will expand its parking offering with the opening of a new Park & Walk Lot on July 21, 2026. The facility will provide 560 spaces and operate around the clock as the airport’s most affordable daily parking option.

Located at 2555 Aviation Way, the parking area was previously used to accommodate overflow demand. Travelers should allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the passenger terminal. Shuttle transportation will not be available.

The facility will use a ticketless, credit-card-only payment system. Drivers must present the same payment card when entering and leaving the lot so that the parking charge can be calculated and processed. Information about available spaces will be published through the airport’s online parking platform in real time.

The additional capacity is being introduced as Reno-Tahoe International Airport experiences continued growth in passenger numbers. Traffic during spring 2026 was 4% higher than in the corresponding period of 2025, while April and May recorded the airport’s highest monthly passenger totals in 19 years.

The entrance to the new lot can be reached from Aviation Way via Terminal Way or the Interstate 580 airport exit. Passengers are advised to check parking availability before travelling or reserve a space in advance, particularly during busy periods.
