Robert Stanley, PE named Managing Principal of Walker Parking Consultants’ Denver office

Walker Parking Consultants is pleased to announce that Robert E. Stanley, P.E. has been named Managing Principal of Walker’s Denver, Colorado office. In his new position, Stanley will manage the office’s operations, and will oversee all Walker projects in the Denver, Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City areas. He replaces Larry Hofmockel, P.E., a long-time fixture of the Denver-area parking industry, who is refocusing his efforts on international business development and project management.

Bushman, P.E., president of Walker Parking Consultants. “In replacing Larry Hofmockel, he has big shoes to fill, but we are confident that Bob will help Walker maintain and build upon our standing as the industry’s leading parking consulting firm.”

Bob Stanley is a parking professional with nearly 17 years of experience. He joined the Chicago office of Walker Parking Consultants in 1996 and became Director of Operations of Walker’s Denver office in 2007. Bob is a former state president of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, and was the 2003 Young Engineer of the Year. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in 9 states including Illinois, Colorado, Missouri, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Montana, and Wyoming. Bob is also a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign.

Bob has overseen the design of a number of exceptional parking facilities, including the 6000 stall Terminal 3 Parking Structure at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, which received the 2012 “Award of Merit for Design” from the International Parking Institute. Bob is a resident of Highlands Ranch, Colorado where he lives with his wife Stephanie, and 2 children . In his time away from the office, Bob serves his community by staying active with his professional society, volunteering at several non-profit organizations in the Denver area, and coaching a competitive girl’s fastpitch softball team that is highly ranked in Colorado. He also enjoys skiing, tennis, scuba, motorcycling, and model trains. Bob has noted that he has never met a Lionel train he didn’t like.
