Saba acquires a car park concession in the centre of Santiago, Chile

saba has bought a car park concession in the centre of Santiago from the construction company Cointesa.
The car park - which has 304 places - is excellently located in the Chilean capital, next to the Plaza de Armas car park, also managed by saba. The concession for the new car park acquired by sabaruns out in 2037.

abertis operates in the Chilean car park sector through Saba Estacionamientos de Chile, a wholly-owned subsidiary of saba. At the end of last year, the company acquired from a group of five local companies 100% of the capital in the Sociedad Concesionaria Plaza de la Ciudadanía, concession holder of the car park located in the square of the same name in Santiago.

With this new acquisition saba now manages a total of 14 car parks in Chile, with a combined capacity of 8,528 places, located in the cities of Santiago, Concepción and Valparaíso. Saba Estacionamientos de Chile also has another project in hand in the city of Concepción, which will add a further 415 places to its portfolio in Chile.

Currently, saba provides a total of 131,974 parking spaces distributed across 200 car parks in Spain, Italy, Chile, Portugal, France, Morocco and Andorra. In addition, the company is developing new projects which will increase the total size of the network to 219 parking centres and almost 150,000 managed spaces.
