SCANaCAR won Intertraffic Innovation Award for second time

The jury of the Intertraffic Innovation Award rewarded SCANaCAR’s Parking Space Classifier with the award for the parking category which made SCANaCAR the winner of this prestigious award for the second time in a row.

Amongst others, the jury report says “The jury … deemed the solution to have wide-ranging benefits, not least as an enabler in the world of ‘digital parking’. … When enforcing numerous parking infringements, simultaneously the system maps out empty and occupied spaces, in doing so helping city authorities build a holistic view of parking availability …”. A large number of cities and parking organizations from all over the world got a demo with the ScanAuto in the streets of Amsterdam. They were also enthusiastic about the new modular ScanAuto that was launched during this fair: this system can be fit into basically any type of car. Assembling the ScanAuto is fast and can be done on location and maintenance of the Modular ScanAuto is simple.

Also the introductions of the new integrated camera for access control and the new software for Android smartphones were well received.

SCANaCAR is a product of Abstract Computing International BV (ACI). We have worked on increasingly innovative applications since ACI's founding in 1991. Our specialty is digital image analysis.

With this, we have built solutions that provide insight into visitor flows in public spaces such as stores, among other things. SCANaCAR, the product built on the basis of license plate recognition, is also on the list of ACI products.
