New Parking System in C.C. Diagonal Mar

Scheidt & Bachmann

In July, Scheidt & Bachmann designed, installed and launched a new parking system in the Diagonal Mar Shopping Centre, located in Barcelona. This shopping centre is one of the most emblematic spots of Spain, containing over 200 stores, an excellent selection of restaurants, 17 cinema halls, and a bowling alley, as well as a parking lot containing 4.800 parking spaces spread over 5 floors.

The parking system implemented in Diagonal Mar presents state-of-the-art technology and the latest innovations in the sector: barcode system, automatic ticket production unit issuing short term parking tickets, entry and exit license plate recognition cameras, QR and barcode marketing, etc.

Diagonal Mar disposes of 16 entry devices, 18 exit devices, 4 validators, 38 barriers, 17 ticket vending machines, 23 license plate recognition cameras, and in the near future it is expected to increase the amount of machines. The new Scheidt & Bachmann equipment has been installed with comparative advantages in areas such as space saving, high reliability and performance, intuitive operation and ease of configuration. The project, therefore, enhances a great reference within the parking systems of our country.
