Riccione_01.jpgThe first section of the underground car park In Parking under the street Lungomare della Republica in Riccione, Italy, was transferred to the public. By this new building of the underground garage, the municipality of Riccione has given the area in direct vicinity to the beach a new, friendly flair. Instead of parking cars, the image of this area is now governed by a park promenade that invites people to walk around and linger on. Already during the summer months, the guests can dispose of 245 parking spaces. By June 2010, after the complete underground car park is finished, the capacity will be extended to 629 vehicle.

Riccione_03.jpgThe concept of the underground car park In Parking is supported by an innovative technology, a fresh and light design and by high security aspects. Consequently, door readers are installed at the access doors of the staircases, permitting access to the underground car park only to guests with a valid ChipCoin. This ChipCoin will be issued at the entries of the underground car park and serves to calculate the parking fee.
The whole underground car park is divided in four large sections, each one being provided with an entry and exit, an automatic pay station and a door reader. For better orientation, the sections have got different colours. The devices of the Car Park Management System are painted in the same colour code. Thanks to the flexibility of the in-house manufacturing, this customer desire could be realized by Scheidt & Bachmann.
