Scheidt & Bachmann - Register online at the parking portal and park conveniently

Scheidt & Bachmann has developed the web portal where customers can register online and activate their transponder

Recently, parking in Ingolstadt has become even easier and more convenient. With the pilot project "Audi connect wireless payment" it is no longer necessary to use conventional parking tickets and pay a parking fee at the automatic pay station.

IFG Ingolstadt is offering this service in cooperation with AUDI AG to its customers. Scheidt & Bachmann has developed the web portal where customers can register online and activate their transponder. Currently all Audi employees that lease a new vehicle can benefit from this convenience. Upon delivery of the vehicle the customer receives a starter kit with a radio frequency identification tag (UHF transponder).

A simple registration on the IFG web portal activates the radio tag (www.ingolstadt.de/parkportal) - without any administrative effort by the operator. Attaching the radio tag onto the windscreen of the vehicle will cause the gates to open automatically when driving in and out of parking facilities. Parking no longer has to be paid for separately and there is no need to stand in line at the pay machine. At the end of the month the customer will receive the bill for the parking charges and the amount will be directly debited from the user’s account.

Users can login to the parking portal at any time and conduct a detailed overview of parking processes and transactions upon access to their personal area. In addition, the current occupancy of the car park is displayed in the parking portal.

IFG Ingolstadt, the Municipal Association for the Promotion of Economy and Employment, operates nine parking lots and underground car parks with a total of 6,200 parking spaces. They are equipped with the newest generation of entervo, the parking management system from Scheidt & Bachmann. According to IFG this convenient method of contactless parking should be made available to the broader public in the future.
