Scheidt & Bachmann's Success Story: Conversion to a Ticketless System in Record Time

The Riem Arcaden in Munich is a vibrant meeting place and the largest shopping centre in the Bavarian capital - with around 61,100 m² of retail space and around 2,600 parking spaces on three levels.

To ensure that visitors can continue to park in a relaxed manner, the parking management system has been fundamentally modernised.

As part of a partnership between APCOA Deutschland GmbH and Scheidt & Bachmann Parking Solutions, the previous barcode system was converted to an innovative, camera-based and ticketless system in record time – within just two weeks and during ongoing operations. From now on, there is no need to draw a ticket: cameras capture the license plate, which is displayed on large displays. Payment is made conveniently via the APCOA FLOW app or at one of the 13 machines – either cash or cashless.

Thanks to the excellent coordination of all those involved in the project, the modernization work could be implemented so efficiently that the guests were able to enter without a ticket in the second week. The result: a smart parking system that noticeably increases comfort for visitors and impressively underlines the competence and professionalism of the entire team.
