Meet the Next Generation of T2 Multi-Space Parking Meters — A 7-Inch Display, Payments in Seconds and Modernized Software
Your parking meters may be the only part of your parking program a parker ever touches. They have to be easy to read, quick to use, and dependable in every season. Starting now, both T2 Pay Stations, the T2 Luke® Cosmo and T2 Luke® II multi-space parking meters, ship with T2’s new V6 controller and modernized software.
A 7-inch display with room for more
The new 7-inch display gives parkers more screen space. Instructions and rates are clear at a glance, and the screen is easy to read even in bright sun. The extra space also serves multilingual communities: the screen can show up to five languages at once, chosen from English, French, Spanish, German, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. The welcome screen changes to match the language a parker selects.
Card payments in seconds, shorter lines
Tap and chip payments complete in under 10 seconds over Ethernet and under 15 seconds over 4G. Parkers can also pay with Apple Pay and Google Pay, so a phone works as well as a card. The interface responds quickly to every key press. Less time at the meter means shorter lines and fewer parkers giving up before they pay.
Longer battery life
The V6 controller uses less power. Every T2 Pay Station runs on battery, with AC or solar keeping it charged, so that efficiency adds up to more dependable uptime, especially for solar-powered units through cloudy stretches and short winter days.
Modernized software
T2’s modernized software is the platform for all future T2 Pay Station development. Operators can set rates once and push them to many meters, schedule rate calendars, and automate future rate changes. Progressive rates support up to 25 configurable increments, and T2 Iris recognizes matching license plates across meter, mobile pay, and pay-by-phone transactions. Internal dual antennas improve connectivity in high-interference environments.
Rugged and secure
T2 Pay Stations use a keypad-first design with durable laser-engraved buttons. Parkers get real physical feedback with every press; the keypad performs in cold weather, and compared with a touchscreen, it uses less power, fails less often, and costs less to replace. Cabinets are cold-rolled steel with an anti-corrosion coating, and maintenance and collections have separate doors and locks.
On security, T2 is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider. T2 Pay Stations are certified against PCI-SSF and PCI-SLC, with optional PCI-P2PE certification when accepting EMV transactions, which helps reduce the scope of your PCI audits.
Luke Cosmo or Luke II
Luke Cosmo has a smaller footprint and a card- and mobile-wallet-only option, with coin acceptance available when you need it. It’s a strong fit for locations moving toward cashless payments or working with tight sidewalk space.
Luke II is built for locations that need bill and coin collection alongside card and mobile payments.
Both ship with V6 and the same modernized software.
