Tameside stays with NSL

NSL has retained its contract with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council for another three years.
NSL has worked for Tameside for the past four years, and under the new contract will deliver on and off-street parking enforcement, cash collection and first line maintenance of pay and display machines and other parking equipment on street and in the councils car parks. In addition to the initial three year period there is an opportunity to extend the contract, which has an annual contract value of 550k, for a further four years.

Trevor Taylor, NSL regional manager, commented: I am delighted we will continue to be working with Tameside. We are very proud of

the service we have delivered for them, and very proud that we will continue to deliver this in a very cost effective way.

The operation will move to a new base in February as part of the new contract.

Trevor added: Outsourcing services to a company like NSL is a proven way to help local authorities make savings and at the same time protect frontline services. Tameside has always set a very high quality threshold for their parking service and we are determined to continue to deliver.
