Tata subsidiary launches car parking system
TAL Manufacturing Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, has offered a solution to the ever-increasing problem of parking.
The company on Friday launched TAL-Vertipark, a fully automated multi-level vertical car parking system.
The new system, stated to be the first of its kind automatic car parking tower, is designed such that the total ground area occupied is that required for only three vehicles.
The new system is an ideal solution to contain prohibitive investment and increasing pressure on availability and use of land, TAL Manufacturing Solutions managing director Atam P Arya told newspersons at the Tata Motors premises in Chinchwad.
TAL-Vertipark will be available in two standardised modules. A 20-level module will accommodate up to 40 vehicles, while a 10-level module will be for up to 20 vehicles. The parking slots have been configured to accommodate a variety of cars, including SUVs and MPVs.
Arya said customised solutions would also be offered to clients on request.
The TAL-Vertipark has been developed and produced specially for Indian conditions based on original design from MP Systems of South Korea under a licence agreement.
Company officials stated that with minimal operational and maintenance requirements, the parking tower system was suitable for commercial, office and residential buildings, malls and multiplexes, hotels, hospitals, railway stations and airports. The company has received two orders to install the system.
