TCS International Case Study - Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas offers hotel accommodations, residential living, meeting facilities, restaurants, retail space, spas, and a casino in a unique vertical multi-tower design. This luxury destination required a parking guidance solution that would allow customers to locate available parking spaces easily and quickly so that they could start enjoying all that this resort has to offer.

TCS International deployed a system which uses ultrasonic single space sensors above every parking space in the facility. These sensors each have an external occupancy status light indicating whether parking spaces are available or occupied. The sensors communicate locally to a zone controller which then communicates on an encrypted wireless mesh network back to the central server. The server provides a user interface and allows viewing of real time parking availability as well as parking statistics. The parking availability is displayed throughout the facility on electronic master signs, level signs, and aisle signs.
