Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. was recently awarded a contract for the prime design of two parking decks for Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA.
Valdosta State University logo.jpgThe construction of these two parking decks will be the first on the VSU campus. Each garage will provide up to 1,000 parking spaces for students while also incorporating over 30,000 square feet of occupied space for Auxiliary Services, Public Safety and the Parking & Transportation offices.

Working with a $30 million budget, TimHaahs will lead the design effort in collaboration with nationally acclaimed firm Cooper Carry and prominent local architect McCall & Associates, Inc.. This collaboration combines the extraordinary portfolio of both TimHaahs and Cooper Carry, but also adds the critical local involvement of McCalls talents and knowledge of the Valdosta State University campus. The two parking decks will complement the existing surroundings by incorporating the beautiful Spanish mission-style architecture, present throughout the campus.

One of our goals is to create People Places active campus spaces where students, faculty, and staff will congregate. Creating such an environment, especially since these will be the first parking decks on campus, will help ensure their acceptance and long term success.
