UK Launch Of Bournedeck

Bourne Parking’s unique long span BourneDeck system is an adaptable, all-purpose flooring solution, proven throughout Europe where more than 2,000,000 m2 has already been successfully installed. The system was used in the construction of Europe’s largest car park at Car Park 2, Cologne Airport, Germany, which was built in 1997 and has a capacity for almost 6,000 cars. The first use of BourneDeck in the UK saw the construction of a new decked car park for Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent. The L2m project provided the Hospital with a high quality car park, giving 450 no. spaces for patients, visitors and staff.

Key benefits of the BourneDeck system are maximum versatility and rapid installation time to ensure the shortest possible on site period. With multiple phase construction and part handover of finished phases an option, where necessary projects can also benefit from partial temporary reinstatement of spaces once the BourneDeck panels have been installed. The pre-finished soffit is supplied as standard with a factory-applied coating, which is available in a wide range of colours. The coloured soffit has the benefit of giving the car park building a bright and airy internal appearance, whilst minimising long-term maintenance requirements, which may otherwise be required by alternative site applied paint systems. The final product is a modern, safe and low maintenance car park building.
