Urbitran presents new awarded parking projects

Urbitran, a premier engineering, architecture and planning firm headquartered in New York City, presented this month their awarded winter parking projects.

Queens College Parking Feasibility Study, Queens, NY

queens.jpgUrbitran was selected to develop conceptual parking layouts at Queens College for Lots 15S and 15N that are proposed for redevelopment; to evaluate the potential traffic impacts of the development; and to recommend appropriate traffic mitigation measures. Depending on the findings of initial tasks, the study will also include the identification and evaluation of alternative parking sites on campus. The study will be based on the quantification and documentation of current needs, projection of future traffic and parking demands, and coordination with the project team.

Urbitran was selected to prepare the traffic portion of the EIS in connection with the proposed development. Objectives of the project include transforming downtown Flushing into a destination of choice and creating new public amenities for the enhancement of the local community.
