Walker Engineering and Kimley-Horn Join Forces

On September 16, Walker Engineering joined forces with national design engineering and land development firm Kimley-Horn.

Las Vegas-based Walker Engineering was founded in 2003 by current president Jody Walker Belsick. The firm, three-time NAIOP Southern Nevada Engineering Firm of the Year (2014-2016), has a high profile in the Las Vegas and southwest U.S. land development market with an extensive resume of commercial, industrial, retail, and military projects. Belsick and 15 team members will transition to Kimley-Horn.

Asked why she’s making the move to Kimley-Horn, Belsick responded, “It’s a great match—our cultures are both highly focused on providing our clients with an exceptional service experience, and the combination of our resources will give the clients of both firms even greater service as well as an additional depth of resources. I am confident that as our clients learn more about Kimley-Horn, the same conclusion will be reached—that this is a natural fit.”

Kimley-Horn’s Regional Leader Scott Colvin commented, “We have great respect for Jody and her team; our collective strength will give us an increased ability to serve our clients in this growing market and around the country.”

Kimley-Horn serves both public and private sector clients. This move marks the next phase in Kimley-Horn’s continuing expansion of its land development capabilities in the Las Vegas area and beyond, providing a great depth of resources to clients in commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, residential, military, state, municipal, and other market sectors.
