Wolfgang Leindecker new Vice President M2M & Public Transport at Kapsch

Wolfgang Leindecker (40), the new Vice President M2M and Public Transport at Kapsch CarrierCom, will be responsible for the worldwide development of the new business fields of machine-to-machine networks and public transport.

"I believe in the 'Internet of things' and it is an exciting challenge to be building up a new area in a future market," says Leindecker about his assignment.

Wolfgang LeindeckerLeindecker has been working in the IT and telecommunications environment for more than twelve years. His experience ranges from the development of new business fields in the area of security to responsibility for specialized sales and presales through to working as Marketing Director. His most recent position was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at NextiraOne Austria. He studied astrophysics in France and technical physics at the Vienna University of Technology, where he also held a teaching post in physics and mathematics. He subsequently did research at the University of Potsdam and taught mathematics at the Christopher Columbus High School in New York, before being drawn into the world of ICT. Between 2007 and 2008 Leindecker completed an Executive MBA at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and at the University of Minnesota.
