Martos takes its first steps towards becoming a Smart City with intelligent parking technology

With the help of Worldsensing´s solution for smart parking management, Martos is positioning itself as a highly active player within the Intelligent City project, Red.es co-financed through ERDF funds from the European Union.

Moreover, with the Software Suite that is integrated with the Worldsensing parking management system they city can stay ahead of any challenges that may arise and can make fast decision based on real-time information of parking occupancy.

The initial stage of the project began with the placement of 30 sensors across the street known as Rodriguez de la Fuente and is expected to reach 150 parking sensors in total. Through these devices and information panels, citizens will be informed of the availability of parking in the area.

According to the mayor, Víctor Torres, this project “will allow the control and essential monitoring of different types of installations including lighting, detection of vehicles and pedestrians, parking sensors or smart pedestrian crossings” (full article in Spanish: http://ow.ly/S5hk30bRyG1).
